parlor guitar- what music style and strings are best?
i have a cheap chinese made acoustic parlor-size guitar. what strings are best on parlor’s and what type or style of music is most played on them?
Parlor-size guitars aren’t overly loud so this is not the best guitar if you’re trying to make yourself heard over the banjo and mandolin in a loud bluegrass band, for instance. But it would probably sound great for fingerpicking folk song accompaniments, Celtic fiddle tunes, blues or ragtime instrumentals.
I would probably go with light-gauge steel strings.
